TFPL, 2022: I have found nothing more on him. I suspect from the admin document made after Robert Vernon’s death, which did not include Henry’s name as one of the children, that he must have died young.

Contrary to the above, he died in England and is on the English records, though with a marginal spelling error:

His nother had died when he was 12 so it looks like his father had sent him back to England to complete his schooling.
I have asked the GRO to double check their spelling of ‘Lelford’ which will remain wrong but there is just a chance that it is what some fool had written on the original documentation. The old printed index got it right, though.
