| From FreeBMD, the following births were found in the Winchester area: Births Sep 1851 Buston Roger Winchester &c 7 264 Births Mar 1853 Buston Philip Thomas Winchester 2c 96 Births Dec 1855 Buston Charles Winchester 2c 83 Births Jun 1857 Buston Arthur John Winchester 2c 93 Births Dec 1859 BUSTON Anne Isabella Winchester 2c 99 Births Dec 1862 BUSTON Edward Ernest Winchester 2c 98 Births Sep 1864 BUSTON Mary Phillis Catherine Winchester 2c 105 Births Dec 1865 Buston Eleanor Sarah Winchester 2c 96 Births Dec 1869 BUSTON Margaret Elizabeth G Winchester 2c 110 Note that, apart from the first, the vol nos (probably the registry office) are all the same at 2c. The above confirms that Nellie was the third dau. The origin of Margaret Elizabeth becomes more curious if she really was a grand-daughter - see the 1881 census entry in Roger Buston’s notes - as she was very likely born, and seems to have lived, at her grandparents’ house. (I can’t be fussed to get her birth certificate though.) In Q1 of 1912 there is, almost certainly, this marriage between Margaret, aged over 40 by then, and a James Clayton.
