Among his descendants is Chris Thompson who wrote an article on the Richardsons in Quaker Connections 38 of July 2006.
One gem in this article was that Thomas and Elizabeth’s son Jonathan was a major financier of Consett ironworks and when that went bust, Richardson’s Northumberland and Durham District Bank did likewise causing him to be thrown out of the Quakers for a while. However he paid off the creditors and returned to the fold.
