Notes for Nichola de la Hay
m. (1) William fitz Erneis (d. 1178), (2) Gerard de Camvill.
She inherited all the English lands (her sisters getting the Norman lands?).
She became Castellan of Lincoln and effectively defended it for some decades. This was passed on through her heirs until it reached Alice de Lucy from whom it went by marriage to the dukes of Lancaster.
