| Notes for Muriel de Valoines |
She and Hubert de Montecaniso had three sons, Roger, Geoffrey and Hugh.
K-R: In Muriel's father's article, DP 322, it says she m. (2) Hubert de Montcanisy. In her (DD, 758) and her son's (DD, 294) articles, it says her first husband was unknown but that she was mother of William of Bacton. But also in the latter article K-R says Hugh son of Theoderice was possibly her son's father or elder brother. Finally in DP 427 it again says that Hugh fitz Theoderic was likely to have been the father of William of Bacton. So her first husband was possibly this Hugh, not totally unknown.
When Hubert died she became a nun at Thetford priory. |
