Notes for Sir John Broughton
The Beds vis'n gives a vast number of generations of Broughton, starting with a Danish Sir Rowland who around 633 built the town of Broughton!
However his descent from the Engaine heir, Mary who m. Sir Wm. Bernak exactly agrees with CP, Vol V, p. 80 apart from one extra generation in the Beds visitation.
