Notes for Florence Louise Cecile Hoare
On the 1901 census, PRO ref RG 13/171, she was living with her parents at 393 Holloway Road, Islington West, London and was 19 years old, born in London, St Luke's, her local parish.

On 29th September 1921, a month and a half after her husband, she sailed on the Howali of the P & O Line to Singapore. She gave her age as 39 (true) and had been staying at 393 Holloway Road, London, N7, which her parents had lived in for at least 20 years. She was bound for the Straits Settlements. I wonder why she had come back to England? Had one of her parents been ill or died? Her mother died two years later in 1923.
