In the 1881 census she was named "Bridget Mallow" and living with her parents at dwelling 22, Cowpen Bewley (more likely Port Clarence), co Durham; aged 3 and born in Billingham (more likely Port Clarence), Co Durham.
At her first dau Mary's birth in 1904, she lived at 2 Church Street, Port Clarence. She registered this birth.
In 1921 at the birth of her daughter Kathleen, she was living at 16 Church Street, Port Clarence, Cowpen Bewley. She also registered this birth.
On her death certificate, no 6 of 1952 for Stockton sub-district, Co Durham, she was of 48 Bell Street, Port Clarence, Billingham, Co Durham, wife of James Mclean who was a labourer at an Iron Foundry. She died of Pemphygus (who?). The death certificate is dated 16th Oct 1952.
There is a birth certificate for Joseph Mclean born 18th Feb 1912, entry no 12 in the Stockton register book; also on FreeBMD for Q1 of 1912, Stockton dist, vol 10a, p. 204. Not sure who he was. A son?
FreeBMD has a birth of an Agnes McLean, born in Q3 of 1913, Stockton dist, vol 10a, p. 127. Agnes is Latin for Anne so I wonder if her name was reused when Nancy (Annie) came along?
On her marriage certificate (see hubby for other details) she was 25, lived at 4 Marton Street, Port Clarence and her father was Neil Mellon, blastfurnaceman. She appears to have signed the register herself.
In the 1901 census she was living with her parents at 15 Marton St (?), Port Clarence, Co Durham, aged 23, born in Port Clarence, Co Durham.
