Notes for John Brent
He just has to be the son of Wm and Amy Brent, also of Charing Brent, who indeed had a son John - see Amy's will of 1516.
Interestingly he is left out of the 1574 visitation and his son John is made the son of William and Amy who refers to Margaret [Dering, presumably] the daughter of her son John and who had a daughter Amy, referred to in her gt-grandmother's will as "little daughter Amy".
Oct 2002: My current view is that he and his generation are wrongly inserted int he 1619 visitaiton and that he needs to be excised. I'll give it a day or so for any discussion on soc.gen.med to die down.
