It now seems that he had in addition to his daughter Joyce, a son Richard who was left the manor of Lubbesthorpe by Millicent, then widow of Eudo de la Zouche, his aunt. Richard then went on to have children shimself. If true, and it seems likely, this negatives the previous statements that Joyce was dau. and heir, receiving Richard’s castle.
