Notes for Joan
Faris' Plantagenet Ancestry 2nd edition, p. 62, says she was dau of of Sir Richard Rokesley. So did CP for Moleyns in Vol IX, p. 39. But CP XIV deleted this, which makes more sense as the Rokesby marriage was to the previous Poynings generation. But finally Faris acknowledges this change in CP XIV and leaves old Rokesley in...
It does not make sense to me to have two successive Poynings apparently marrying daughter os the one man.
