Moor in his ‘Kts of Ed I’ gives him an earlier wife, c. 1281-2, called Margery.; by 1305 his wife is Isabella. This leaves it ambiguous whether Margery or isabella was the mother of their eldest son Robert. who was born around 1285-8.
