In 1841 and 1851, no sign of him and his wife under their full names. Nor was he among all the Henrys born in Staffs in 1802.

In 1861 he was a widower, vicar of Barton under Needwood and staying at a hotel in Tunbridge Wells, Kent with his brother Edward Philip.
