Notes for Rev William Bowstead Richards Jacobson
FreeBMD has the death of a William Bowstead R Jacobson in Q2 of 1880, aged 39, registered at St Thomas, Devon vol 5b, p. 27.  I think this has to be he, particulely since this lead to his birth record in 1840 in Oxford where his father later became Regius prof of Divinity.
