At the time of their marriage, he was living at Chist's Hospital, London and his father was Thomas (gent).
At the time of Herbert's birth they were living at 37 Amwell Street, Clerkenwell.

The 1851 and 1861 censuses clearly give Eliza Alice’s birth place a London, Clerkenwell or Chelsea. This makes it even more likely that the Eliza who was born in Bombay was a different woman.
