Notes for Thomas Roydon
(Originally from a Twysden pedigree of 1620 signed by William Segar, Garter, William Camden, Clarenceux and Ri St George, Norroy but now supplanted by the superior work of E B Royden.)

Thomas Roydon somehow made a fortune and used it to buy considerable estates in Kent.  He called his caput "Fortune" in honour of this, though it became known as Roydon Hall.  There is no indication of how he came by this fortune.

His IPM was Series II, 112, n. 87m and is given in full on pp. 95-102.
