The Dictionary of British Arms, medieval ordinary, Volume Four, p. 389; this includes the report that Leake showed the stall plate as quartered by Holden whose arms are shown by Louda as Argent a bend engrailed Guleas and a chief Sable. This last is to be found, untinc, in the Dictionary, vol One, p. 366 for a William de Halden who lived in 1377-8 and a citizen of London.

The Visitation of Kent of 1574, for Guildford p. 76, has Jone Halden as his paternal gt-grandmother and the heir of John Halden.

His stall plate survives in North 15, so needs to be examined.
