Notes for Robert Watts
On FindMyPast there are these baptisms to children of Robert and Mary Watts in Sherborne:

1 Jul 1778  Susanna,

14 May 1783  Martha,

10 Feb 1786  Sarah Churchill.

But no Mary or Maria.  Though there is the possibility that Martha became Maria later on, certainly in the 1861 census, when she was 78 and a widow so no husband to impress, Maria gave her age as 78, implying a birth in 1783.

Additionally there were baptisms of children of Israel and Jane or Jenny Watts:

12 Aug 1778  Elizabeth,

05 Jan 1780  Jenny,

27 Jun 1781  William,

25 Dec 1782  Mary,

09 Feb 1785  Julian Maria,

28 May 1787  William.

The children of Israel and Jane seem regularly spaced and there is no reason to doubt that they had a daughter Mary.
_______________

He was named as the father of Maria in the notice of her marriage to Thomas Coster of London in the
The Salisbury and Winchester Journal of Monday August 5, 1805.  She was said to be his second daughter.

On 2 feb 1825 the Morning Post carried on p. 2 an advert for a Bibliotheca Britannia by Robert Watt MD, late president of the faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.  Any connection to this Robert Watt and his visit to Scotland in late 18th century?

Will notes for Robert Watts
His will has been found; it was proved on the 23rd December 1823 so is undoubtedly the man buried on the 20th October 1923.  Robert Watts owned several modest properties and leases in Dorset and Somerset.

In his will he mentions his three daughters:
Susanna, wife of Mr Samuel Gould,
Maria, wife of Mr Thomas Coster,
Sarah, wife of Mr John Longman (NOT Songman(?) or Dougman(?)!)
and his dear wife
and his uncle the late Bartholomew Watts, possibly of Marston Magna.

The will was signed on 28 August 1813,
The first codicil was signed on 20 September 1814,
The second codicil was signed on 14 September 1816,
The third codicil was signed on 6 May 1820,
The fourth codicil was signed on 27 July 1821.

The third codicil changed the executors to be his friends Elias Penny(?), stationer of Sherborne, and Daniel Penny(?), bankers clerk also of Sherborne.

From Thos Coster’s will, Sarah seems to have had a son William Longman.  (William Churchill Longman, to be precise.)
