Notes for Henry (or Hendry) Hope
In Louisa Lilias Forbes' (née Trotter) genealogy of the Stuarts, she states that Henry Hope's father was Sir John Hope of Craighall. This is not corroborated by the Coltness Collections so some investigation is needed... Might an answer be in Cokayne's Baronetage? Not quite but Thomas Hope's father is reported by GEC to be Henry (who m. Jacqueline de Tot.), Thomas almost certainly being a brother of this Henry.

TFPL, Nov 2005: GEC’s Baronetage says of Thomas Hope, 1st bart and who d. in 1646, that he was one of the sons of Henry Hope and Jacqueline de Tot. It further says for the Robt Stewart of Allanbank baronetcy that Anne was the dau of Henry Hope and jacqueline de Tot. So this Henry (or Hendry) is now out of the ancestor list.
