The following is from Nicholas Vincent’s “The Lucys of Charlcote”:

He supported Peter de Mountfort of Beaudesert, his feudal superior for Charlcote. and by 1264 already had large debts to Elias Blunt a London jew, as he was then released from paying interest to Elias. In 1272 he was losing parts of his land, probably because of debts.

By 1290 he had lost all his lands outside Warks.
