In CP called "Gerald of Windsor". Keats-Rohan calls him Gerold filius Walteri, Gerald fitz Walter, and has his wife, m. c.1100, as Nesta, daughter of Rhys ap Tudor, prince of S Wales. His sons were William Fitz Gerald whose descendants used the name de Carew, David who was bishop of St Davids 1148-76 and Maurice FitzGerald, ancestor of the earls of Kildare, etc. His daughter was Angharad, who m. Wm. de Barri. She refers to J A C Richardson's work on the Carew descendants. |
