The Inner Temple admissions database has him admitted on 31 Aug 1618 and then of East Peckham, Kent. He was called to the bar on 21st Apr 1626 and rose to the Bench on 5th Nov 1646. His father was given as Sir William Twisden [sic] bart, also of East Peckham, Kent.

Pledge: Heneage Finche. Father was described as a knight and baronet. Sir Thomas Twisden, first baronet (1602-1683) judge and politician, appeared as legal counsel in many politically charged cases throughout the 1640s and 1650s. He was created serjant-at-law in 1654, knighted and made justice of the kings bench in 1660 and created a baronet in 1666.
