Fined costs at the court of King's bench, Westminster before the Lord Chief Justice for breach of promise brought by Miss Elizabeth Irving of Wallingford 14 July 1824.
Mayor of Wallingford 1831. Ald 1830, owner of ironmongery business in Wallingford and iron foundry at Watlington, Oxon and freehold farm at Chinnor with cottages at Crownmarsh Grfford and Christmas Common, Oxon.
Bapt 14 April 1795. M 12 June 1823 his first cousin Anne Elizabeth (b.8 March 1800, d 2 May 1880, will proved 4 Nov 1880), only dau of John Sheen of Little Wittenham, Berks and d 8 Nov 1846 (will pr 15 March 1847).
Turners Court is, from the Greenwood book, in the Oakley Estate, about three miles east of Wallingford. He was left the Oakley estates by his father. In the 1841 census there were 13 "assorted servants and farm hands living there"; of which one was a nurse (nanny?), two were female servants and 10 were agricultural labourers; his occupation was stated to be Farmer.

His will was dated 9th March 1843, had a codicil dated 10th March 1843 and was proved at London on 15th March 1847 with Ann Elizabeth Greenwood and William Stephens and his brother Charles Greenwood as executors.
The will in in heavy secretary hand and is going to be a struggle to read and take salient notes from.
