Notes for Isabella Twysden
From EAP Powys' transcription of Philip Powys' notebook: "Isabella Lybbe my wives dear Mother dyed at Hardwick on Tuesday 30th Novr 1742"
In Betham's Baronetage of 1801 for Twysden as marrying "Richard Lybbe of Hardwicke, in Oxfordshire, Esq".
She was left a £2,000 dowry in her father's will - and actually got it from her brother.
Whitchurch Burial Register:
"1742 Dec 4 LYBBE Mrs Isabella, widow"
In tail, ie if all the heirs of her brothers die out, a co-heir of the Welles barony. Certainly the male Twysden line died out in the 20th century, but the daughters of those males seemed to have been adequately fecund.
