Mainly Northern Pedigrees collected by Joseph Hunter

and published as "Familiae Minorum Gentium"

Joseph Hunter collected pedigrees of the little men, the lesser gentry, in the early 19th century. The pedigrees were of families from as early as the beginnings of the visitations, in the sixteenth century, to the eighteenth century. He added in some research where he could but mostly any confirming documentation was thin. These are the various Waterhouse families that he collected some information on.

The articles are PDF, Portable Document Format, files which you should save to your disc. Be warned that the third file is large and will take some time to download over a dial-up link.

Interestingly none of the pedigrees contains any hint of the Hallifax family that claimed descent from the Waterhouses of Halifax, Yorks.
